I watched this documentary on the fabulous Nicki Minaj on Mtv the other night, and when this part of the interview came on I immediately thought of this class and the first article we read. This video clip is the modern day (especially in the music industry) example of Frye's article on how women are expected to act. I love Nicki Minaj, she makes a GREAT example of how women are binded!

Everyone take a look especially if you like her music, it's funny!!!

  1. That's so funny because as soon as I saw this on TV I thought of this class, but you beat me to posting it! :) She definitely speaks the truth. I find that a lot of things in the media remind me of this class now.

  2. bahahaha i think this is soo funny, i am so glad that she didn't drink pickle juice and she made a point. she is so right, the rich celebrity men like donald trump can do whatever the heck they want and are still praised but women can't act that way or they're looked down upon. Good example of a double standard, i have more respect for nicki minaj after watching this, props to her.

  3. i definitely enjoyed watching this. she is funny but it was great how she said donald trump could be however he wants but she has to be everything because she is a girl. i loved that because that is so true. i am not her greatest fan but i do like her and i really like that she somewhat addressed this issue. i think if she brought it up in a bigger way, maybe something could be done, because she is a pretty popular artist right now.
