https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FczvmLnBTEsthis is a commercial for Summer's Eve body wash which is for women. the commercial shows a man accidentally using his wife's wash and feeling as if he needs to gain his masculinity back. the man does activities that are stereotypically considered masculine in society so he is not perceived as a sissy. at the end of the commercial, his wife says "that was close."
what i don't understand is that this is for a female product so why are they offending women in the ad? why are the "manly" activities considered male? it is insinuating that these activities are not suitable for women which is very sexist. this man is obviously not confident in his sexuality so he has to "prove" how strong he is to his wife. from a feminist viewpoint, this video is offensive.
