I just recently came across a new MTV show called Catfish. This show is about online dating. The narrator of the show, Neev, was once in an online relationship and when he finally met the woman he thought he loved in person, she was not the same person he saw in all the pictures. He hosts this show to help people who are online dating meet their loved one to see if the relationship and person is real. Most of the time the situations end up as people posing as someone else because they are embarrassed of what they look like. Throughout the online relationships the person posing refuses to skype and meet in person because they are posting pictures that are not really them to make the person falling in love with them think that's what they look like. Generally these people are well overweight and have low self esteem issues. These people just want to find love but do not feel like they can because of the way they look when the people who fall in love with them fall in love with the personality of one person and the looks of a complete stranger. This is becoming more common in todays society and its extremely unhealthy. These people later find happiness after admitting their wrong doing, posing as someone else. This tv show is extremely interesting, you should check it out sometime.
